Who you will be working with

Steady, warm and genuinely on your side.

Ms Almaas is a general psychologist dedicated to helping individuals achieve a state of wellbeing through compassionate, effective therapy. Her practice draws on interpersonal, cognitive behavioural and schema based approaches, matched to the person in the room rather than a single method.

She works with adults aged 16 to 65 and brings experience from both inpatient and outpatient settings. A particular focus of her work is supporting people through the process of transitioning to independent management of their mental health, building skills and confidence that last beyond the therapy room.

Ms Almaas is also pursuing supervisor accreditation so she can mentor provisional psychologists, contributing to the next generation of thoughtful, inclusive practitioners.

What guides the work

The values behind every session

Compassion first

You are met with warmth and without judgement, whatever brings you in and however long it has been building.

Evidence based

Approaches with real support behind them, applied flexibly so the therapy fits your life rather than the other way round.

Truly inclusive

Gender inclusive, sex worker friendly and culturally sensitive care that is woven into practice, not added as an afterthought.

Areas of focus

Support across therapy and assessment.

Alongside individual therapy, Ms Almaas offers structured diagnostic assessment and professional consulting. If you are unsure whether your needs are a match, the discovery call is a good place to ask.
